Okay I had to get that out of the way.
I did a write up for installing a new fuel pump in my R32.
This is a 1991 Nissan R32 GTST Type M. Not that it matters but I'm adding words for google here.

Unbolt the top hat (please note my hack wiring)

Take the assembly out

Admire the new fuel pump.

Remove the old pump and put the new insulator in the bottom.

Press the little retaining clip onto the sock on the new fuel pump. I used a small socket shown

Here it is installed.

Take the supplied hose and cut it to length (if needed)

Admire your work

Here's what the insulator and sock look like while they are together.

I put the hoseclamps on the tube. I am not a huge fan of these so I made sure not to over tighten them, as they can cut the hose eventually.

I also added a band clamp to the whole assembly. It wasn't noted in the directions but it seemed like a good idea anyways. This is how the pump was mounted previously anyways.

Here's the whole assembly.

Make sure you wire your wires correctly. I originally had these backwards due to a bad SAU post.
Blue wire with red tracer is ground for pump (this is grounded to chassis on side of boot)
White with purple tracer is 12v power to pump
Black is ground
That's it. You're done!
